To create a virtual disk partition

  2. In the Virtual Disk Partitions area, do either of the following to open the Disk Partition window:
    • To define a new virtual disk partition, click Add .
    • To modify an existing virtual partition, select the partition in the Virtual Disk Partition list and click Edit .
  3. On the Disk Partition panel:
    • For Virtual Disk, enter a name for the virtual disk.
    • For Size, enter the size of the partition in megabytes. If you want the partition to fill all remaining space on the disk, check Fill any available space or max size. (You can specify both.)
    • For Datastore, type the name of the storage partition on which you want to create the virtual partition or select the name from the drop-down list.
  4. Click OK.
