Creating or modifying rules for remote host authentication
Remote host authentication rules match remote host authentication definitions with agentless devices.

Before you begin
Provide information used for remote host authentication. See Specifying or modifying information for remote host authentication.
Required authorizations
To create, modify or delete remote host authentication rules, your role must be granted the following authorizations:
- BL_Administration.Read
- RemoteHostAuthentication.Read
- RoutingPolicy.Read
- RoutingPolicy.Modify
To create a remote host authentication rule
- Select Configuration > Infrastructure Management.
- In the left pane of the Infrastructure Management window, right-click the Remote Host Authentication Routing Rules node, and then select New Rule. The New Rule wizard opens.
Complete the New Rule Wizard, as described in the following topics:
- Click Finish to close the wizard.
To modify an existing remote host authentication rule
- Select Configuration > Infrastructure Management.
In the left pane of the Infrastructure Management window, expand the Remote Host Authentication Routing Rules node. Select the rule you want to modify, right-click, and select Properties. The Modify Rule window opens. It displays a series of tabs, which are described in the following topics:
- Click OK.
