File Deploy Jobs let you deploy (or push) multiple files and directories to one or more servers. When you deploy a directory, the contents of the directory are copied recursively, meaning that all sub-directories and their contents are also deployed.
File Deploy Jobs allow you to choose the files and directories you want to deploy from servers. In other words, you can select files and directories that are available under the Live node for a server in the Servers folder. If you want to deploy files stored in the Depot, you must bundle the files as a BLPackage (see Adding a BLPackage to the Depot) and then use a BLPackage Deploy Job to deploy them (see Creating a Deploy Job). Deploying files as BLPackages provides far more control over a job, including the ability to simulate its deployment, automatically roll the job back when a failure occurs, and manually undo the job.
