You can select to remediate one server, a set of servers, or all servers with a single missing patch, a set of missing patches, or all missing patches. To make your choices, start by expanding the results of the Microsoft Windows Patching Job (see Verifying the Results of a Windows Patching Job). The following sections describe how to select each combination.

Remediating all servers with all missing patches

To remediate all servers with all of the missing patches that were identified in the Windows Patching Job, select remediation objects as follows:

  1. In the Windows Patching Job results, expand the Server View.
  2. Right-click Successful Targets and select Remediate All Servers.

    The New Patch Remediation Job wizard opens. Go to Creating a Remediation Job.

Remediating one server with one or a selection of patches

To remediate one server with one missing patch or a selection of missing patches, select remediation objects as follows:

  1. In the Windows Patching Job results, expand the Server View, and then expand Successful Targets
  2. Select the individual server in the left panel.
  3. In the right panel, right-click the patch that you want to deploy and select Deploy Selected Patches.

    Tip

    To deploy more than one patch on this server, use Ctrl-click to select the patches. Then right-click over the selected patches and select Deploy Selected Patches.



    The New Patch Remediation Job wizard opens. Go to Creating a Remediation Job.

Remediating all servers with one or a selection of patches

To remediate all servers with one missing patch or a selection of missing patches, select remediation objects as follows:

  1. In the Windows Patching Job results, click the Object View.
    The right pane shows a list of hotfixes and patches.
  2. Select one or a set of patch names in the right pane.
  3. Right-click and select Deploy Selected Patches.
    The New Patch Remediation Job wizard opens. Go to Creating a Remediation Job.
