The BMC Prefix Update for IMS (Prefix Update) product provides a single-step method for updating prefix and resolving logical relationships.

Prefix Update updates the prefixes of those logically related segments that are affected by initial database loads or subsequent reorganizations. The utility also resolves logical relationships between IMS databases by using prefix information gained from work data sets that are created during database scans or loads.
