The reports shows weekly summarized data for the following attribute sets:

  • Total CPU Utilization
  • Real Memory Used
  • Free Disk Space

Note

You must add attributes for the above attribute set. For information about adding attributes, see Configuring BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine for performance reports.

Server Capacity Drill Down

To display the report with updated data:

  1. Refresh the main report, the system prompts you to select the following values:
    • Reporting period start and end dates
    • Aggregation function (typically, Avg/Min/Max values)
    • Device names
    • Instance status
  2. Save the main report and click the hyperlink to go to the sub report.
  3. Return to the main report to view the report with refreshed data.

The report displays two tabs: Summary Graph and Details. The Summary Graph tab shows graphs for weekly summarized data for the attribute sets Total CPU Utilization, Real memory used, and Free disk space. A graph for each attribute set is displayed on a new report page. The first graph shows aggregated weekly data for all devices selected per attribute. Below that, a new graph is displayed for every Instance/Attribute.

You can drill down from a weekly view to see daily, hourly, or minutes data. Click Preferences > Web Intelligence and select Synchronize Drill on Report Blocks to display all the data points after drill down.

The Details tab displays minimum, maximum, and average values for every instance between the selected time range.

To synchronize drill down across all blocks of the report:

  1. Open InfoView and click Preferences (right hand corner).
  2. Scroll down and expand the Web Intelligence section.
  3. Under Drill Options, select the Synchronize drill on report blocks option.

The report shows summarized data for one attribute set over a single aggregation function (Avg, or Min, or Max values).

To display the report with updated data:

  1. Click Refresh Data, the system prompts you to select the following values:
    • Reporting period start and end dates
    • Attribute set
    • Device name, monitors, and instance name
    • Aggregate function (Avg, Min, Max values)
    • Interval size
  2. Click Run Query

The report displays two tabs: Summary Graph and Monitor Information. The Summary Graph show graphs for summarized data for the selected attribute set over the selected period of time. The Monitor Information tab displays data per instance over the selected period. You can drill down to a daily data by double-clicking the instance.

Note

Because these sample reports are out-of-the-box and contain many in-built features, they may take a long time to refresh. BMC recommends that you use these reports for demonstration purposes only.
