provides IT staff with the means to record their time spent on projects and other activities, and it enables IT managers to review and approve timecards and analyze labor activity in their organizations. Also, project managers can monitor the actual labor hours charged against their Projects.

, Timecards are generated for every individual in the IT organization for whom timecarding has been enabled in his or her IT Staff record, including contractors. These Timecards conform to the options that have been selected in the Administration interface.

In general, the timecarding process flows as follows

  1. Individual IT staff members fill out their Timecards and submit them for approval.
  2. Managers, selected Timecard approvers, or their designated approval delegates, review the submitted Timecards.
  3. The aggregated data from approved Timecards is available for analysis. Additionally, any time allocated to specified Projects is available for viewing.
