The top priorities of today's CIO and IT organizations are aligning with the business and maximizing value. As IT examines itself in new and more critical ways, its goal is to optimize and align a portfolio of IT projects. Optimizing and aligning such a portfolio is similar to managing a financial portfolio. By using the project inventory and value analysis capabilities provided by

combines discrete project management and portfolio analysis capabilities into one solution. This comprehensive and easy-to-use solution provides maximum utility to your IT organization.

  • Project management
View a list of projects with brief descriptions and links to details. Behind each project is a set of project management tools targeted at managing everyday IT projects, including project financial management, resource estimation, scheduling, and expected value calculation.
  • Program management
Create and manage programs, which are typically larger, more complex projects consisting of several smaller individual projects.
  • Portfolio management
Create and manage portfolios, which are groups of projects that you can define for a particular purpose, such as budgeting, planning, and comparing scenarios.
  • Analysis
Conduct a value analysis on a portfolio of projects. The Project Portfolio Value Analysis Chart presents a visual comparison of project values and success probability, with the same data also presented in tabular form.
  • Investment planning scenario analysis
Evaluate projects and refine your organization's decision-making process by creating planning scenarios. Use the Scenario functionality to specify target values for overall labor, start and end dates, total capital, and expense for a selected set of projects. You can then move projects into investment categories to see the total labor and costs of projects within each category.
