This topic describes how to manage groups and user accounts after you have created them.
See Troubleshooting for more information about possible user management concerns.
From the BMC AppZone Administration Console, click People.
The Manage Users page appears.
Click Manage Groups.
The Manage Groups page appears.
In the Groups list, find the name of the group and click Change Name.
Enter the new group name.
Click Update to retain these settings.
From the BMC AppZone Administration Console, click People.
The Manage Users page appears.
Click Manage Groups.
The Manage Groups page appears.
In the Groups list, find the name of the group and click Remove.
Click OK to confirm that you want to delete the group, or Cancel to keep the group.
In the Users list, click the name of the user.
Click Edit Details.
Click Reset Password.
Enter the new password and confirm by entering a second time.
Click Update to retain these settings.
Click Update to retain these settings.
From the BMC AppZone Administration Console, click People.
The Manage Users page appears.
In the Users list, select the user that you want to move.
Click Assign User and select Assign Groups to User.
The Assign Groups to User window appears.
In the Groups list, select the groups to which you want to move the user.
Click Assign.
Note
When an administrator removes a user from a group, the user's group-assigned applications are uninstalled and the applicable licenses are returned to the license pool unless the user is assigned the same applications from another group. If the user is assigned the same applications from another group, the user continues to have assigned licenses and access to these applications.
From the BMC AppZone Administration Console, click People.
The Manage Users page appears.
In the Users list, click the name of the user.
Click Edit Details.
In Account Status, indicate whether the user is Active or Deactivated.
Click Update to retain these settings.
Note
If you only have one Admin user, you will not be given the option to change the user role assignment.
In the Users list, click the name of the user.
In the Device list, click the identifier of the device.
In the list of applications, find the application you want to revoke and click Revoke.
