The integration of BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring with BMC Atrium CMDB enables you to monitor the performance and reliability of your web applications within the context of business services. With this integration, you can do the following:

  • Associate the Watchpoints that you have defined for segments of web traffic with activity configuration items (CIs) from BMC Atrium CMDB
  • Propagate Watchpoint performance data through the BMC PATROL for Application Management to BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management
  • Raise events from BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management to BMC Atrium CMDB for Watchpoint-associated CIs
  • Obtain health information for Watchpoint-associated CIs from BMC Atrium CMDB and display this service-context information through the BMC Application Management Console

Integration with BMC ProactiveNet enables the receipt of health events from BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring, as well as end-user performance events indicating performance, availability and traffic-level problems experienced by real end-users interacting with a monitored Web application. The events in BMC ProactiveNet display details about the KPIs, as well the ability to drill down into BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring.

The following diagram illustrates how these products participate in the integration and the flow of data to enable monitoring of web applications within a service context.
