This section describes how you can configure various features of the system remotely, by using configuration APIs. You compose requests to configuration APIs, by sending an URL with parameters as input. Before you can use configuration APIs, a user with the Security role must enable the configuration APIs via the web interface.

With configuration APIs, you can perform the following tasks:

  • Stateful mode—You must manually initiate and commit operations via the transaction API.
  • Stateless mode—System commits each operation automatically but does not permit you to roll back any changes.
