Installing BMC AMI Defender for IMS
This topic describes how to download and install product files from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) facility.
- Navigate to the EPD page from the Customer Support website at http://www.bmc.com/support.
- Navigate to the Additional Products tab.
- From the list of products, select BMC AMI Defender for IMS.
- Expand the product list and select BMC AMI Defender for IMS 3.0.02.
- Click Save to download the BMCAMIDefenderforIMS3.0.02.ZIP file.
- Unzip the file and use the instructions from the readme.txt file to install and set up the product.
Warning
This release of the product uses the CHANGE RECORDING FACILITY user exit EDMCIMS1.
- If you already have the EDMCIMS1 user exit in your IMS installation and want to use the new BMC AMI Defender for IMS user exit EDMCIMS1, you must place the BMC AMI Defender for IMS installation dataset before the existing user exit in your IMS STEPLIB.
- If you want to continue using your existing user exit, you must place the BMC AMI Defender for IMS installation dataset after the existing user exit in your IMS STEPLIB.
