  • If you have custom security certificates for the internal communication between the Presentation Server and App Visibility Manager, ensure that your files are not overwritten by the upgrade process. See instructions "To replace security files for communication with the Presentation Server" in the Changing security certificates in App Visibility components topic.
  • Ensure to close all the files and folders opened in the current session as well as close other user sessions on the server before applying feature packs or fix packs.

  • Ensure that the environment variable TRUESIGHTPSERVER_HOME is set to the Presentation Server installation folder.
  • Manually stop any components that are directly connected to the Presentation Server (for example, Infrastructure Management, App Visibility Manager components).

  • Ensure that the Presentation Server is running before applying feature packs or fix packs. If the Presentation Server is not running, start it by running the following command:

    (Windows) tssh server start
    (Linux) ./tssh server start

    Note

    Run the tssh server status command from the installationDirectory\truesightpserver\bin folder and verify that the status of the Presentation Server is Running before applying feature packs or fix packs.

    On Linux computers, add & at the end of the tssh server start command so that the process runs in the background and you can continue to use the shell.

  1. hey folks - above is a note

    Note

    You must wait for the status of the Presentation Server to be Running before applying feature packs or fix packs.

    but it doesn't say how to check the status which is...

    TSSH Server Status

    1. Thank you, Michael. I've updated the note to include the command.

  2. Please note that if I run the tssh server status command using "Run As Administrator" mode I can see that all the TSPS services are running:

    Process status
    ===============================
    Core Server Running (7940)
    Index Server Running (6680)
    Database Server Running (6364)

    while if I run the same command without the "Run As Administrator" mode I can see a different result (but it seems to be not correct because TSPS is actually up and running):

    Process status
    ===============================
    Core Server Not running (7940)
    Index Server Not running (6680)
    Database Server Running (6364)
