        Yes, -trustcacerts option is needed when you import a combined certificate (root, intermediate, and component-specific). This approach was followed and tested in ASSO (Implementing private certificates in the Atrium Single Sign-On Server). 

        For TSPS, testing was done for the instructions that imported the certificates separately. Therefore -trustcacerts option was not used.
