Sun Cluster identifies the health of the nodes in the cluster with device group configured for the Infrastructure Management application. Sun Cluster checks the status of device group configured for the Infrastructure Management application to verify the nodes in the cluster, which are online and functioning well. Based on the status, the sun cluster enables the Infrastructure Management service to be available on the online node.
On Sun Cluster, the application needs to be identified with a resource group. The Sun Cluster uses the resources present in the resource group for high-availability.
- Create Infrastructure Management application resource type. This is necessary to register the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server as the application for high-availability. For more information, refer to Creating the Infrastructure Management resource type.
- Create a resource group that specifies the resources that need to be used for high-availability and the resources included are:
Installing Infrastructure Management in high availability cluster mode
Running Infrastructure Management in high-availability cluster mode
Manually switching the Infrastructure Management application to the secondary server
Disabling failover for Infrastructure Management
Configuring high-availability remote cells for viewing in the operator console
Setting up the cluster in Linux 6.x
Setting up the service to run in high-availability cluster mode in Linux
Bringing a resource group online
