Fix Packs do not contain all of the files that are required for a complete product installation. Fix Packs are cumulative and contain all updates released prior to the Fix Pack.

Before you install the Fix Pack, you must have previously installed the base version of the product.

Warning

The 10.7 Fix Pack 3 includes the following cumulative hotfixes:

  • TrueSight Presentation Server
    • Hotfixes on 10.7.00 → 10.7.00.000.026
    • Hotfixes on 10.7.00.001 (Fix Pack 1) → 10.7.00.001.004
    • Hotfixes on 10.7.00.002 (Fix Pack 2) → 10.7.00.002.004
  • TrueSight Infrastructure Management
    • Hotfixes on 10.7.00 → 10.7.00.000.032
    • Hotfixes on 10.7.00.001 (Fix Pack 1) → No hotfixes provided
    • Hotfixes on 10.7.00.002 (Fix Pack 2) → 10.7.00.002.004

If you have already installed a hotfix later than these versions on a product, do not install 10.7 Fix Pack 3 on that product.

Installing the Fix Pack

Warning

Before applying this fix pack, BMC recommends that you create a full backup of your TrueSight servers (Atrium Single Sign-On, Presentation Server, Infrastructure Management, and Integration Service), and of your App Visibility Manager databases.

Installing the Fix Pack 3 for TrueSight Operations Management 10.7 consists of the following steps:

  1. Prepare for the installation of the Fix Pack.
  2. Install Fix Pack 3 (10.7.00.003) for TrueSight Presentation Server 10.7.00.
  3. Install Fix Pack 3 (10.7.00.003) for TrueSight Infrastructure Management 10.7.00.
  4. Install Fix Pack 3 (10.7.00.003) for TrueSight App Visibility Manager Server 10.7.00.

To apply Fix Pack 3, install all the above components in the recommended sequence.

Step 1: Download the Fix Pack

The following table provides links to the pages in the EPD website that contain the installation files for this fix pack. From the EPD page, you can select and download the installation files for your platform. Access to the EPD website requires that you provide your BMC Support credentials. You might also be prompted to complete the Export Compliance Form.

Step 2: Install the Fix Pack on the Presentation Server

Reconfigure the log file settings.

This step is only required if you customized the log file settings like maximum log file size, number of rolling log files, and so on in the logback.xml file, since these customizations are overwritten by the Fix Pack installer.

The Fix Pack installer creates a backup of the logback.xml file at installedDirectory\truesightpserver\TSPS_BACKUP_FOLDER\truesightpserver\conf.

Compare this file with the logback.xml file created after the Fix Pack installation at installedDirectory\truesightpserver\conf and manually add any customizations.
