Viewing Infrastructure Management performance diagnostic details

You can view information about the server sizing, cell, Integration Services, devices, attributes, SLOs, routing, TCP connection. You can perform performance diagnostic analysis using the information.

Note

The numbers and counts displayed in this page take into account only those monitor instances that have at least one statistical attribute.

Criteria for calculating performance diagnostic metrics

For calculating the performance diagnostic metrics, the Infrastructure Management uses the following criteria to determine the active, partially active, and inactive instances and to determine instances to exclude from the calculation:

An instance is active only when it meets the following criteria:

  • The instance is enabled with stream options and any one of the following is true:
    • Data is On Event is off
    • Data is On Event is On
    • Partial Data is On Partial Event is On
    • Partial Data is On Event is On
    • Partial Data is On Event is Off
  • Native monitor instance used for self-monitoring is enabled with stream options 128 and parent monitor type >1

An instance is inactive only when it meets the following criteria:

The instance is enabled with stream options and one of the following is true

  • Data is off Event is On
  • Has stats attributes but are disabled for data collection (Which means, the data collection can be enabled and potentially can become active.)

An instance is not selected for the performance diagnostic count in the following cases:

  • Instances that do not even have a single stats attribute (Native parent monitor instances)
  • Instances that have single stats attribute but the attribute is PN_DUMMY_STATS

To view performance diagnostic details

  1. From the Infrastructure Management server action menu, click View Performance Diagnostics.

    Active only count

The count displayed under the Monitored Data is only for active instances and attributes. It does not include the inactive instances and attributes.

  2.  Under Performance Diagnostic Details > Deployment Analysis, click View.

The following Deployment Analysis options are listed:

  3. Select the options as required and click Show Details.

The following Deployment Load Metrics report page is displayed. Use the following table to understand the performance diagnostic details from the Deployment Load Metrics page.

Note

The Performance Diagnostic page might take up to 6 minutes to load on Microsoft Windows.
