LOGSCAN option descriptions

LOGSCAN provides information about the number and size of log records that are required for recovery. You can use this information to size the log sort. R+/CHANGE ACCUM prints a report that describes the log records for each object that is specified in the LOGSCAN statement.

The LOGSCAN TABLESPACE, LOGSCAN INDEX, and LOGSCAN INDEXSPACE statements specify one or more table spaces or indexes (or table space or index data sets) for scanning. You can have as many LOGSCAN TABLESPACE, LOGSCAN INDEX, or LOGSCAN INDEXSPACE statements in a job step as you like. However, R+/CHANGE ACCUM examines all statements in the job step before processing starts. Doing so enables R+/CHANGE ACCUM to combine all log processing and schedule activities optimally.
