What's new

Added support for operating systems

The KM now supports the following operating systems:

  • HP-UX 11.32
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019


What's changed

srvctl utility is replaced with crsctl utility

The KM now uses the crsctl utility to determine the location and configuration of the following entities:

  • Real Application Cluster One Node databases
  • Real Application Cluster databases
  • StandBy Dataguard databases
  • Scan and management listeners
  • Oracle database instances
  • Oracle Management instance (MGMTDB)

Unit of Archive Log Free Space for optional

Unit of the Archive Log Free Space for optional (ArchFreeSpaceOptional) attribute of the Oracle Archive Log Destination is changed to %. Earlier its unit was Number of logs. 

Downloading the service pack

Select and download the installation files for your platform; see the following table. Use your BMC Support credentials to access the EPD website. You might also be prompted to complete the Export Compliance Form.

Installing the service pack

Note

The PATROL for Oracle Database Monitoring 9.7.12 service pack contains all of the files that are required for a complete product release. You can install the service pack over an existing installation of the KM, or as a fresh installation.

Follow the instructions in Installing.
