Starting a monitor
To start a monitor
- Type SM or MONSERV on the COMMAND line of any view and press Enter.
The Start Monitors (SM or MONSERV) view is displayed and it lists all available monitors.
Tip
To learn about a monitor service, type H in the CMD field next to the service and press Enter. A description of the service, its parameters, and the syntax of its warning message are displayed.
To learn about a field on the Start Monitors view, position the cursor on the field and press F1 for online Help.

- In the CMD field next to the service that you want to start, type S and press Enter.
Depending on the type of monitor that you select, a monitor-specific dialog is displayed. The following figure shows an example of a workload dialog display.
