HR agents with Standard Administrator or Standard Master permissions use People console to create people records.

This topic includes the following sections:

People console features overview

You can add new people records, modify, and delete existing people records from the People console which can be accessed from the Quick Access bar.

You can perform the following tasks by using People console:

To view a profile of the people record

  1. In the People console, search for a people record.
  2. Select a people record and double-click it.
  • Select a people record and click Modify.

The employee profile that you are creating or modifying opens in a new tab. The People console remains opened in the browser window.

To modify a people record

  1. In the People console, search for a people record.
  2. Select a people record and click Modify.
  3. On the Request Details tab, click Edit.
  4. Modify the details as required, and click Save & Close.

To delete a people record

When you delete case user people records, consider the following points:

  • These records are deleted from BMC HR Case Management People list.
  • These records are deleted from the COL:COR:People form, but they remain in the User form on BMC Remedy AR System Server.
  • You cannot create a case user with a login name that existed before, and then was deleted from the BMC HR Case Management.

You can delete a people record from BMC HR Case Management by selecting it from the People list in the People console, and clicking Delete.

To add a note to the Journal of a people record

  1. In the People console, search for a people record and select it.
  2. In the Details section, click Add Note.
  3. Complete the required fields to add a journal note. For more details about fields, see Adding a journal entry to an employee profile.

To manage people records watchlist

You can add a people record to the watchlist to track changes that happen to the record. When a record is updated, you receive a notification about a change in the Messages console.

The following table describes how to manage people records watchlist from the People console:

  1. Search for a people record that you want to add to the watchlist.
  2. Select the record and click +.
    The people record is added to the watchlist.

To view the watchlist

Click Watchlist.

To remove a people record from the watchlist

  1. Click Watchlist.
  2. Select a people record.
  3. Click Delete.
To hide the watchlistClick Hide Watchlist.
