A processor information object in BMC Discovery represents a processor in a host.

To view a processor information page

From a host node, click one of the links in the Processor Information field. The Processor Information page displays.

Field

Description

Name

The name of the processor. For example, Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5620 @ 2.40GHz on adam-dev-aardvark.

Vendor

The processor vendor. For example, Intel Corporation.

Type

The processor type. For example, Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5620 @ 2.40GHz.

Speed

The processor speed, in MHz. For example, 2394.

Resource Type

For example, PHYSICAL for a processor on physical hardware, NOT_PHYSICAL for a virtual machine, and PARTIAL for a partitioned host.

Number of Cores

The number of cores.

Number of Sockets

The number of sockets.

Cores per Socket

The number of cores per socket.

Threads per Core

The number of threads per core.

Cores per Socket (from Specs)

The number of cores per socket, taken from the manufacturer's specification.

Threads per Core (from Specs)

The number of threads per core, taken from the manufacturer's specification.

Host

The host containing the processor.
