Microsoft Lync Server - Change History
2009-2010
TKU November 2009
Original release of this pattern module contained one pattern with the SI type being set according to a complex set of conditions.
Code broken out into 3 separate patterns in order to simplify it.
TKU August 2010
In TKU Aug 2010 an issue in the CommunicationsServerComponents pattern was resolved to prevent and SI being created with no type attribute if trigger process arguments were not obtained during the scan.
2012
TKU April 2012
In TKU April 2012 the following changes were made:
- The pattern now models Microsoft Lync Server as well as the legacy Microsoft Communicator Server
- The pattern models license information as a separate license detail
- The order versioning methods are attempted was changed to ensure the most reliable versioning methods are tried first
TKU June 2012
In TKU June 2012 a pattern to model the replicator agent was added
TKU July 2012
In TKU July 2012 extra code was added to model the Microsoft Lync Server Group Chat component and the Microsoft Lync Server Director component
TKU October 2012
In TKU October 2012 a change was made to how the pattern distinguishes between the Front-End component and the Director component
2013
TKU November 2013
In TKU November 2013 support for 2013 release was added. Four new simple identifiers were also added. Patterns now use common function for version comparison. A new pattern for the Mediation component was added.
TKU December 2013
In TKU December 2013 two bugs were fixed:
- The Application Server component now triggers on OcsAppServerHost.exe for modern versions of the product
- The Front End component creates a relationship to a SQL Server Software Instance regardless of the edition of Lync (previously it would only create a relationship for standard edition SIs)

From TKU January 2014 the server components are modelled as software components, not as software instances

From TKU February 2014 we model details of Microsoft Lync Server Access Edge

From TKU March 2014 we model the Persistent Chat Server.
TKU August 2014
In TKU August 2014, the pattern was updated to model an instance attribute for Microsoft Lync Server SoftwareComponent.
2016
TKU January 2016
In TKU January 2016 the peer to peer relationship was changed to Dependency.
TKU June 2016
In TKU June 2016 the following changes were made:
- added support for load balanced Lync installations
- added support of extended MS Lync components - sites and services
- improved link creation to related Database Servers
- added support for new 2015 version - Microsoft Skype for Business
