2008 - 2010

TKU April 2008

In TKU April 2008, the pattern was enhanced to add active versioning method, add the capability to obtain the list of enabled Knowledge Modules and create relationship to the related RT Server

TKU August 2009

In TKU August 2009 a new configuration section was added to allow the execution of the pconfig command to be enabled/disabled by the end user.

TKU May 2010

In TKU May 2010 the efficiency of the search block that performs the search for the RT Server host based on IP address (in order for the pattern to create the relationship between the Patrol Agent SI and RT Server SI) has been improved.

TKU June 2010

In TKU June 2010 the active versioning section was enhanced. The pattern now looks in the following locations:

  • The same location as the trigger process
  • Locations obtained from the child process
  • The default paths, which can be altered in the configuration block

TKU September 2010

In TKU September 2010 the code to link to remote SIs was slightly improved.

2011 & 2012

TKU February 2011

In TKU February 2011 RFE QM001692988 was implemented to allow privileged command execution to be used for version command

TKU March 2011

In TKU March 2011 the pattern was updated to represent product version in the format x.x.x instead of x.x since it was confirmed after investigation that this is the correct product version. (Bug 14404)

TKU September 2011

In TKU September 2011 if the Windows trigger process path is not fully qualified, the pattern now attempts to get such path from a child process of the trigger process.

TKU February 2012

In TKU February 2012, two additional default UNIX paths, "/opt/patrol/PATROL3.4/" and "/opt/patrol/PATROL3.5/", were added to the default_unixpaths option in the configuration section.

TKU May 2012

In TKU May 2012, the pattern was updated to use a common function when linking to remote BMC Performance Manager Portal RTserver Software Instances.

2014 - 2016

TKU February 2014

In TKU February 2014 method for knowledge modules (KM) extraction was updated and added ability for full_version and full knowledge name extraction.

In TKU September 2014, the pattern has been updated with the following changes:

  • instance attribute for Patrol KM SoftwareComponents.

TKU December 2014

In TKU Dec 2014 the pattern was updated to use correct default UNIX path (QM001864736).

TKU March 2016

In TKU October 2016  short name attribute for Software Component was updated (DRDC1-7127).

Recent

TKU October 2017

In TKU October 2017 we improved the method to discover Knowledge Modules.  We now only create SoftwareComponents for Knowledge Modules if we have definite evidence they are running

TKU February 2018 & TKU August 2018

In TKU February 2018 and TKU August 2018 we fixed bugs in how we search for files that contain module information.  This should reduce datastore size.

TKU December 2018

In TKU December 2018 we updated the key for knowledge modules.  Previously it included a case sensitive description.  Now it includes a case insensitive description

TKU April 2019 & TKU July 2019

In TKU April 2019 and TKU July 2019 the pattern runCommands were updated

TKU March 2020

In TKU March 2020:

  • Changed logic in execution while active versioning. Pattern now uses runFutureActiveCommand instead of runCommand (DRDC1-14440)
  • Fixed path versioning, now pattern do not populate number '3' as version from '/patrol3/' dir, which is default installation dir, and do not represent an actual version (DRDC1-14561)

TKU May 2020

In TKU May 2020  Updated metadata URLs (DRDC1-14217)

TKU June 2020

In TKU June 2020 Fixed active versioning in privileged mode (DRDC1-14730)

TKU July 2020

In TKU July 2020 pattern updated to use 3 levels for product_version (DRDC1-15275)
