This topic describes how to access and log on to the various application management user and command-line interfaces that comprise BMC TrueSight App Visibility Manager.
The BMC TrueSight Application Management Console (Console) is the preferred interface for accessing the plug-in components that it contains, such as the application diagnostics capabilities on the Diagnostics tab.
The following image illustrates the relationship of the various application management components and their user interfaces.
In the address bar of a compatible browser, enter the IP address of the Console to access the logon page.
Example: 192.0.2.10 (IPv4) or [fd4f:9030:fbd4:1:250:56ff:fe8f:4a9a] (
IPv6
)
Logon page
On the Logon page, type your user credentials, and click Log On. Consult the following topics for information about user accounts and permissions.
Although you can access them by entering their IP addresses in a browser, BMC recommends that you access the Real User Analyzer, Real User Collector, and Real User Monitor components from the System Deployment tab in the Console.
After logging on to the Console, perform one or more of the following actions to access the application management components:
Access a Real User Analyzer by clicking its launch button. With the exception of users assigned the Access Manager role, all users can perform this operation.
Real User Analyzer launch buttons on the Home page
Select System Deployment > Components to access Real User Collector, Real User Analyzer, and Performance Analytics Engine components. All non-tenant users can perform this operation. From the Components page, access a component by clicking its link.

Users with the Administrator role can access the Aggregation Server for Extended Reporting component.
Log on with Administrator credentials.
When logging into the Aggregation Server for the first time, change the Administrator account password.
To access the system CLI, you must use the CLI system account. By default, the credentials for the CLI system account are as follows:
User name | cliuser |
Password | coradiant |
Recommendation
These default credentials are publicly available. BMC strongly recommends that you change the password when you log on the the first time. The password can also be changed when Setting up a component instance.
Note
To access the CLI remotely, the SSH Access option (Administration tab) must be switched on. See Controlling remote access to the command-line interface.
