Integrating

To integrate with BMC Helix Single Sign-On

To integrate BMC Helix Discovery with BMC Helix Single Sign-On, you must raise a ticket with BMC Customer Support requesting the integration. You must ensure that you have configured users in BMC Helix Discovery and their groups and permissions, with the same usernames that users use to log in to the BMC Helix SSO server. The BMC Helix SSO server authenticates the user, but BMC Helix Discovery provides the authorization (using groups and permissions) for those users to operate BMC Helix Discovery.

When you add a user who should only log in through BMC Helix Single Sign-On, ensure that you deselect the Permit Local Login option. You should permit local login access to one or more administrative users so that you can ensure that you maintain access.

OpenID Connect support

BMC Helix Discovery supports connections to BMC Helix Single Sign-On with OpenID Connect.

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to log in to BMC Helix Discovery using BMC Helix Single Sign-On, use the local login URL to access the BMC Helix Discovery UI and log in as a local user.
