Synchronizing functional components

Collaborative Application Mapping (CAM) represents an application with three levels: SoftwareInstances are combined into Functional Components, which are combined into a Business Application Instance. In previous releases with TKU older than TKU 2014-Jan-1, CAM models were synchronized to the CMDB, the models were represented with two levels, with BMC_SoftwareServer CIs grouped into a BMC_Application CI.

BMC Discovery now synchronizes Functional Components to BMC_ConcreteCollection CIs. For details of the mappings, see, CDM Mapping for Host and CDM Mapping for MFPart.
