This section contains information about enhancements in version 3.4.00 of BMC Digital Workplace.
Installation and upgrade
When upgrading to BMC Digital Workplace 3.4 from version 3.3.02, you do not need to apply the User Experience patch, because the User Experience patch is unchanged. For a fresh installation, or if you are upgrading from an earlier version, you must still apply the User Experience patch.
In previous versions on BMC Digital Workplace, you could configure the following types of approvals: change requests, BMC Digital Workplace Catalog requests, knowledges, purchases, releases, service requests (SRM & HR Case Management), service request definitions. In version 3.4, you can additionally configure whether approvals can be placed on hold from BMC Digital Workplace. For additional security, BMC Digital Workplace supports approvals that require the approver to enter the password prior to giving approval. For information about approvals, see Approving business requests
Enabling multitenancy for BMC HR Case Management
Starting from version 3.4, BMC Digital Workplace supports integration with BMC HR Case Management in a multitenant environment. HR agents from different departments can now manage solutions and process corresponding cases independently from other departments. End users now have access to those HR services that are shared with their department. For more information about this feature, see Building and configuring an environment with BMC HR Case Management multiple tenants.
BMC Digital Workplace clients are localized into Catalan. For a full list of supported languages and locales, see Supported languages and locales
