ITSM notifications overwritten during Smart IT upgrade

    MultiExcerpt named 'notificationsIssue' was not found

Workaround to prevent overwriting ITSM notifications during an upgrade

  1. Before starting the Smart IT upgrade, log on to the BMC Remedy ITSM mid-tier client as an administrator.
  2. In the browser address bar, modify the URL to open the SYS:Notification Messages_Staging form.
  3. Perform an advanced search with the following qualification:
    'Message Source' = $NULL$
  4. Delete all of the entries returned from the advanced search.
  5. Follow all of the steps in Upgrading to complete the Smart IT upgrade.
