Troubleshooting the BMC AppZone configuration

BMC AppZone can be integrated with MyIT so that users can use it to request software and hardware.

Note

BMC AppZone is a legacy feature. Starting with MyIT 3.3, integration of BMC AppZone is not supported for a fresh installation of MyIT. If you are upgrading to MyIT 3.3f from an earlier version, BMC AppZone will be available only if you have enabled and integrated it prior to the upgrade.

As a replacement for BMC AppZone, you can evaluate the broad set of capabilities provided by MyIT Digital Workplace or MyIT Service Broker.

If BMC AppZone was enabled and integrated prior to the upgrade to MyIT 3.3, but BMC AppZone does not appear in MyIT, perform the following checks:

  • Ensure that BMC AppZone is enabled in Administration Console > Configuration > Enable Features. For more information, see Changing client functionality options.
  • Verify that BMC Appzone is configured correctly. For more information, see Configuring the BMC AppZone integration from the MyIT 3.2 online documentation.
  • From the Universal Client or the Apple iOS or Google Android app, log off, clear the cache, and log on again.
