This page describes the platforms supported with this release of MyIT. To configure and use with BMC Remedyforce, you must use MyIT OnDemand. You cannot use the on-premise version of MyIT.

Compatibility exception

BMC Remedy IT Service Management version 9.0 requires version 11.2.0.3.0 - 64-bit Production Oracle database. BMC Remedy with Smart IT can be installed with 8.x versions of BMC Remedy ITSM. However, if BMC Remedy ITSM 8.x uses an earlier version of the Oracle database, the BMC Knowledge Management feature is not supported on Smart IT-MyIT.

      You can use MyIT as a business-user portal for BMC HR Case Management, without BMC Service Request Management or the rest of BMC Remedy IT Service Management.

      It is optional with regards to whether you want to download and configure a separate version of MongoDB, as opposed to letting the installer install MongoDB.

        Unable to understand the above Optional Components and Required Components sections.

        1) BMC Service Request Management, BMC Service Level Management, BMC Change Management, BMC Asset Management modules are mentioned in the Required Components, but in the comments it is mentioned that they are optional.

        2) Mongo DB is a required component, but it is mentioned in the optional component section.
