20.08 enhancements
Custom email, push, and in-app notifications for new approvals and requests submitted
The BMC Digital Workplace administrator can now customize email, push, and in-app notifications for new approvals and requests submitted. A new setting in the BMC Digital Workplace Admin console enables administrators to edit the notification template, save its draft, and then make the notifications live for end users.
For email notifications, you can hide or show the branding elements as well as modify headings and heading descriptions, informative alert, items list, additional content, labels for the View details and Manage email notification links, and footer content. You can modify the description of push notifications and the title of in-app notifications.
This feature is available for the English locale only. Other locales will be supported in future releases.
To help you visualize the final view of the notification type that you are customizing, an option to view samples is available.
Before making the custom notification live for end users, you can send a test notification to yourself to check if the result meets your expectations.
For the overview of the customization elements, samples of custom notifications, and edge cases, see Customizing-email-push-and-in-app-notifications.

User interface to enable Google and Mixpanel Analytics
In earlier versions of BMC Digital Workplace, the tracking data was available only to BMC Support. Starting with version 20.08, the BMC Digital Workplace administrator can enable Google Analytics in the BMC Digital Workplace Admin console. With the Tracking ID, end users can discover their activity in BMC Digital Workplace without sharing it with third parties. BMC Support collects analytics by using Mixpanel Analytics, which can be turned off in the BMC Digital Workplace console.
For more information about enabling Google and Mixpanel Analytics in the BMC Digital Workplace Admin console, see Using-Google-Analytics-to-collect-and-analyze-usage-data.
User interface to update attachment settings for service requests
In earlier versions of BMC Digital Workplace, attachment settings for service requests could be updated only by using the script. Starting with version 20.08, the BMC Digital Workplace administrator can select the file type rule and specify the list of file types and attachment size in the BMC Digital Workplace Admin console.

Enable approvers to see approval details in a BMC Business Workflows case
From the Configuration > Approval page on the BMC Digital Workplace Admin console, a BMC Digital Workplace administrator can now enable approvers to see approval details in a BMC Business Workflows case. For more information, see Configuring-how-approval-requests-are-displayed-in-BMC-Digital-Workplace-end-user-console.
Highlight incomplete required fields for end users
BMC Digital Workplace prevents end users from proceeding with a request without completing the required fields. With this release, BMC Digital Workplace highlights the required fields when the end user attempts to proceed with the request.
User interface for Browse categories drop-down configuration
BMC Digital Workplace administrators can now configure the browse category drop-down for end users. The Business Request Category feature setting that was available from the Application Features list has been removed. For more information, see Setting-up-sections-in-the-Catalog.

BMC Digital Workplace end users can now use Czech as their preferred language. BMC Digital Workplace administrators can also set Czech as the default language for their end users. BMC Digital Workplace Catalog also supports Czech. For more information, see and Setting-a-language-for-your-end-users.
