Troubleshooting data transfer issues
The BMC Digital Workplace Data Transfer tool enables you to transfer BMC Digital Workplace data between different BMC Digital Workplace environments, such as:
- From a preproduction environment to production environment
- In a multitenant environment between two tenants so that both tenants have same data
This topic describes different, occasional issues you might face during the data transfer. The topic also provides corrective actions to resolve those issues.

Issue | Corrective actions |

You cannot access source and target databases. | Ensure that you have the required permissions to access the BMC Digital Workplace source and target database servers. |
You have network issues while accessing the source and target servers. | Any network issues might cause the interruption of data transfer. You cannot roll back failed a data transfer. Ensure that you have a stable network connection to the source and target database. |
Data transfer fails during export or import. | You cannot roll back the data transfer. You must re-run the utility to export the data and import it again. Before you re-run the utility, ensure that the following probable causes of failure are resolved:
