Setting a language for your end users

As a BMC Digital Workplace administrator, you can set a language that overrides the language that your end users set in their browsers.

To set a default language for your end users

Use this procedure to set a language that will be used to display content to your end users. This setting will override end users' system and browser settings, and display the content in your chosen language.

  1. In the BMC Digital Workplace Admin console, go to Configuration > Language.
  2. Select the Enable toggle button to set a default language for your end users.
  3. Select a language from the Select application language drop-down list.

  4. Click Save.

To allow end users to override the language setting

Select the Allow end user to override check box to allow your end users to select a preferred language that overrides the language you selected.

In the user preferences, end users can select a preferred language that overrides the default language setting.

Note

A BMC Digital Workplace administrator or an end user can set the language of notifications. If the language settings are changed, they apply only after the end user logs in again. For more information, see Configuring status updates and notifications.
