Downloading the BMC Digital Workplace installation files

You obtain the product installation files by downloading them from BMC's Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) portal. Your ability to access product pages on the EPD website is determined by the license entitlements purchased by your company.

Before you begin

This topic is part of the Preparing for installation of BMC Digital Workplace process. The previous step in this process is to complete the Installation worksheets for BMC Digital Workplace.

When to download a service pack or patch

For a fresh installation or an upgrade, check the Release notes to determine the latest update and then download the following:

• The latest release, service pack, or patch (if available). For service packs and patches, the BMC Digital Workplace installer will install or upgrade the full product. 
• Any hotfixes that are available for known issues.

If you sign up for  Proactive Notification , you will be notified about new service packs or patches for applying the latest changes, as well as bulletins about critical fixes.  

Installation files

The following table provides links to the page in the EPD website that contains the installation files for this product. From the EPD page you can select and download the installation files for your platform. Access to the EPD website requires that you provide your BMC Support credentials. You might also be prompted to complete the Export Compliance Form.

Use the following links to download the files for BMC Digital Workplace    19.11 :

¹ You can skip downloading the BMC Digital Workplace Deployment Package Version 19.08.00 (DWP1908forITSM1808.zip) if you are upgrading from a previous version of BMC Digital Workplace, and have already installed the  BMC Digital Workplace ITSM Integration Patch Version 18.05.00 patch.

After you extract the contents of the DWP1908forITSM1808.zip file, you must deploy DWP1908forITSM1808Main_1.zip first, and then deploy DWP1908forITSM1808StarterKit_1.zip. For more information, see Applying a deployment package .

2 Compatible with IT Service Management 18.05 or earlier. Download and install the DigitalWorkplaceITSMIntegrationPatch18.05.00.windows.zip or DigitalWorkplaceITSMIntegrationPatch18.05.00.linux.tar.gz file for your operating system. For more information, see Installing the ITSM integration patch.

To verify the files

Locate the files you downloaded and verify the SHA256 checksum results before installation.
