Assigning administrator permissions

Administrators can grant or restrict access to the areas of the BMC Digital Workplace Admin console for other administrators.

The list of users with administrator permissions resides in BMC Remedy Action Request System (BMC Remedy AR System) and consists of users who belong to the MyIT Admin group. When users with administrator permissions log in to BMC Digital Workplace for the first time, they are automatically added to the list of administrators on the Access Control pane in the BMC Digital Workplace Admin console and cannot be removed by the BMC Digital Workplace server. To modify the categories that administrators can access

  1. From the BMC Digital Workplace Admin console (http://server:port/dwp/admin), click the Access Control link at the top of the page.
  2. Select or clear the appropriate check boxes next to the user names in the table.
  3. Click Update All.
