To add BMC Digital Workplace Catalog user groups

BMC Digital Workplace Catalog groups are created during a post-installation task, when administrators synchronize BMC Remedy IT Service Management users with BMC Digital Workplace Catalog. The synchronization process creates three different groups, based on the following information from the BMC Remedy IT Service Management CTM:People table:

  • Company
  • Company - Organization
  • Company - Organization - Department

When you add a user group to a virtual marketplace, the users within that group are entitled to the items attached to the virtual marketplace.

Perform the following steps to add user groups to a virtual marketplace:

  1. Beside Attributes, click Add.
  2. Click the Custom Groups tab.

  3. Search for a group that you want to add.
  4. Select the group, and click Save.
