BMC Digital Workplace Catalog system administrators and tenant administrators can use the Remedy Mid Tier to perform administrative tasks on the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog server, such as apply the license key, add and remove users, and configure settings for external authentication and cluster deployment. Perform the following tasks to enable access to the BMC Digital Workplace Catalog server through a Remedy Mid Tier.

  1. Stop the Tomcat server.
  2. Download the Midtier 9.1.04 .war file.
  3. Rename the .war file to midtier.war.

  4. Copy the .war file to the Tomcat\webapps folder.

  5. Delete contents of the Tomcat\work folder.

  6. Access Midtier with the URL:port/midtier/shared/config/config.jsp.

This section needs to be updated to provide the information in Knowledge Article 000158231 - Most people will be trying to use the same version midtier that they are using with their ITSM install. Midtier 18.05 and 18.08 (9.1.05 and 9.1.06) aren't supported with DWP.

Getting ERROR (303): Form does not exist on server; @ when adding DWP catalog server in mid-tier 18.05 and 18.08

The issue is specific to midtier 18.05 and 18.08. When performing same configuration in midtier 9.1.04, everything is fine. This can be used as a workaround. You can deploy the Midtier war file of version 9.1.04 on the same Midtier machine where already you have 9.1.05 Midtier. You can use both 9.1.05 and 9.1.04 Midtier at the same time, but the url to access will be different. For 9.1.05 - :port/arsys/shared/config/config.jsp For 9.1.04 - :port/midtier/shared/config/config.jsp Steps to deploy Midtier in Tomcat/webapps folder Download Midtier 9.1.04 war file Rename the war file to midtier.war Copy the war file to Tomcat\webapps folder Delete contents of work folder Access Midtier with url :port/midtier/shared/config/config.jsp
