Configuring after installation

The following table provides information about the tasks that you must perform in the given sequence before using the product (or part of the product) to accomplish user goals.

Restart the RSCD agent	Yes	Restarting the RSCD agent	Restart the RSCD agent for the agent and its children to inherit the system environment variables that are set during the BMC Decision Support for Server Automation installation.
Install Inventory templates and other scripts	Yes	Installing Inventory templates and other scripts	Inventory templates are required for Inventory report data collection. Scripts are required for agent log data collection and running the ETL and archival processes.
Enable Inventory assets	No	Enabling Inventory assets	By default, the data for certain assets is not loaded from the BMC Server Automation database to the reports data warehouse. To enable the data loading and migration of these assets, you must run scripts.
Enable data loading of the Property type properties	No	Enabling data loading of the Property class type property	By default, when you run ETL, data is loaded from the BMC Server Automation into the reports data warehouse for the Simple and Complex properties. To load data for the Property class type properties, you need to run the `update` command.
