Setting up the Oracle database

Before installing BMC Decision Support for Server Automation, you must set up the required databases. This section provides information about setting up an Oracle database for use with the product.

Note

These database setup instructions are intended for use by database administrators.

Recommendation

BMC recommends that the reports database uses a separate database instance than the BMC Server Automation database.
