Setting up the BMC Server Automation site

Before installing BMC Decision Support for Server Automation, you must already have BMC Server Automation installed and BMC Server Automation databases set up on every site from which you want to collect data for reporting and analysis.

To use the reports data warehouse, you must have at least one site with a BMC Server Automation database. In case of multiple sites, the site which is created first, acts as the primary site.

The primary site is also the site at which users have BMC Decision Support for Server Automation administrative privileges and one user must have the GlobalReportAdmins role. For more information, see Roles and report access in multisite environments.
