Sample Job Activity report with filters and groups
The following example demonstrates how to create a Job Activity report that lists the jobs that were run in last three weeks on a number of servers and the users who ran those jobs.

To create a Job Activity report with filters and groups
- Launch Query Studio from the BMC Decision Support for Server Automation portal.
- Select a package (for example, BladeLogic) from the list of available packages.
- Click the Run Report link.
- Click the Preview with No Data link.
- Click the Insert Data link.
- Open the Job Activity folder and drag the following query items to the right pane:
- Job/Job Type
- Job/Job Name
- Job Runs/Job Run Start Time
- Apply a filter on the Job Run Start Time as follows:
- Select the column and click Filter on the toolbar.
- From the Operation type list, select Last number of days.
- In the Number of days before today field, type 21.
- Click OK.
- Drag the following query items to the right pane:
- Job Runs/Run by User
- Job Runs/Run Status
- Job Activity Calculations/# Servers Attempted
- Group the report by the Job Type column.
- Sort the Job Run Start Time column in descending order.
- Click the Run Report link.
- Click the Run with All Data link.
- Save the report.
