Portal Database tab

The Portal Database tab enables you to configure the following parameters for the Cognos portal database:

Field definitions

FieldDescription
Host NameHost name or IP address of the Cognos portal database server
PortPort number on which the Cognos portal database server listens
SID (Oracle) or Database Name (SQL Server)Service ID or name for the Cognos portal database
User NameCognos portal database user name
Password

Password for the Cognos portal database user

Note: Using any of these special characters in the password will cause the Cognos configuration to fail, requiring you to reconfigure the database schema.

Confirm PasswordSame password for confirming the Cognos portal database user
