The following table provides information about the tasks that you must perform in the given sequence before using the product (or part of the product) to accomplish user goals.

The BMC Decision Support for Server Automation Console helps you quickly configure databases, extract, transform, and load (ETL) repositories, and an email server.

  • Inventory templates are required for Inventory report data collection.
  • Scripts are required for agent log data collection and running the ETL and archival processes.

  • Secure Remote Password (SRP) is the default approach of authentication for BMC Decision Support for Server Automation. To configure BMC Decision Support for Server Automation for a different authentication mechanism, see  Implementing authentication.
