Using Metadata Navigator to monitor ETL
You can use Metadata Navigator to monitor the extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes in your environment.
BMC Decision Support – Network Automation uses an ETL process to transfer data from the BMC Network Automation database to the reports warehouse. Data transfers are defined using scenarios.
BMC Decision Support – Network Automation includes Metadata Navigator, a GUI tool for viewing all scenarios, monitoring scenarios and their run status, and viewing scenario run logs.
Metadata Navigator includes information about all sessions related to scenarios. A session is the running of a scenario. Sessions are made up of steps, which are made up of tasks. Steps and tasks are smaller units of execution that makes up the entire session.You can examine the sessions in Metadata Navigator for details about your data transfer scenarios.
