Port and browser requirements
This topics describes the port and browser requirements for BMC Decision Support – Network Automation.
BMC Decision Support – Network Automation requires three free ports for the installation that are mentioned in the following sections.
During the product installation you are prompted for port numbers. Ensure that the port numbers that you provide are not already being used by other services. For example, if you are installing the product on a computer on which BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) is already installed, be sure that there are no port conflicts. Similarly, if you are installing BusinessObjects BI on a computer on which BMC Decision Support – Network Automation or BMC Network Automation is already installed, be sure that there are no port conflicts.
The installer checks that ports are not in use by running applications or services; however, the installer cannot check for stopped applications or services.
Database port requirements
The following table lists the default port numbers for various types of databases.
These are the default ports on which the database instances are configured. Change the port numbers if your database instances listen on different ports.
