Installation worksheet

Use this worksheet to record the parameter values that you need during the product installation.

You can print the worksheet or export it to a Word or Excel file so that you can record the required installation information.

For example, record the database parameters from your BMC Network Automation setup, so that you have them available when you are prompted for them during the BMC Decision Support – Network Automation installation. If you used the BMC Network Automation installation worksheet, you can copy the database parameter values (database type, host name, port number, database name, user name, and password) from the BMC Network Automation Database Connection row in that installation worksheet to the BMC Network Automation Database Connection row in this worksheet to ensure that the values match when you run the installer.

In addition, record the parameters for the three ETL repository databases that you created as a prerequisite and all of the other values listed in the worksheet.

If you are upgrading, many of the fields are automatically populated with values from the existing installation. Review the worksheet and note any parameter values that have changed since the existing installation.

Note

During the product installation, you are prompted for port numbers. Ensure that the port numbers that you provide are not already being used by other services. For example, if you are installing the product on a computer on which BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) is already installed, ensure that there are no port conflicts. Similarly, if you are installing BusinessObjects BI on a computer on which BMC Decision Support – Network Automation or BMC Network Automation is already installed, ensure that there are no port conflicts.
