Performing the installation for versions 8.9.00 and 8.9.01

This topic provides instructions for installing versions 8.9.00 and 8.9.01 of the BMC Decision Support – Database Automation product by using the installation wizard.

Before you install

  1. Ensure that you have met all of the system requirements (see System requirements).
  2. Ensure that you have reviewed the information in the following topics:
    1. Installation worksheet
      Have your copy of the installation worksheet on hand with all of the required parameters listed in the worksheet.
    2. Downloading the installation files
    3. Setting up the installation environment
  3. Verify that the Microsoft Windows Task Scheduler is running.
  4. Verify that all servers in your deployment are accessible to each other and that related services are running.

To install the product

  1. As an administrator, log on to the host computer on which you plan to install BMC Decision Support – Database Automation.
  2. Navigate to the directory containing the setup.exe file.
  3. Double-click the file to start the installation wizard.
  4. Follow the instructions in the installation screens and refer to the installation worksheet for details about the required installation parameters.
