License entitlements

The topics in this section explain the entitlements that apply to licenses related to BMC Decision Support – Database Automation.

You can download the components mentioned herein from the Electronic Product Distribution website. Use the same user name and password that you use to access the Customer Support website.

If you do not have a current license for the components you want, contact a BMC sales representative by calling 800 793 4262. If you cannot download the components, contact a sales representative and ask for a physical kit to be shipped to you.

SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform license

BMC treats SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) platform licenses for both the products, BMC Decision Support – Network Automation and BMC Decision Support – Database Automation totally independently. The associated BusinessObjects BI licenses are not interchangeable. If you would like to use both the products, BMC recommends that you set up two separate instances of BusinessObjects BI platform.

BMC Decision Support – Database Automation

Includes all deliverables for the data warehouse, report server, and out-of-the-box content. Includes named user licenses rights for 5 Report Viewers and 1 Query Studio. Additional user licenses and use of Report Studio must be licensed separately. Test and development instances must be licensed separately.

BMC Decision Support – Database Automation - Query Studio

Includes Report Viewer license rights and use of the Query Studio module which provides the user with the ability to initiate ad-hoc reporting via queries of the data warehouse. Licensed per named user.

BMC Decision Support – Database Automation - Report Studio

Includes Report Viewer and Query Studio license rights and use of the Report Studio module which provides the user with the ability to modify reporting content, create new reports, and fully customize the reporting environment with respect to layout, branding, etc. Licensed per named user.

BMC Decision Support – Database Automation - Report Viewer

Includes named user license rights to view, access, and schedule out-of-the-box reporting content. Licensed per named user.
