Creating drill-down functionality in an ad hoc report

This topic provides instructions for creating drill-down functionality for an object in an ad hoc report. The drill-down functionality enables users to view more details about an object, such as time period.

To create drill-down functionality in an ad hoc report

  1. Create a report as described in step 1 to 5 of Creating-formatting-and-saving-ad-hoc-reports.
  2. In the Query Panel, select Display by Navigation Paths.

  3. Select the desired time period and drag it into the right pane.

  4. Click Run Query.
  5. Click the Analysis tab.
  6. On the Interact tab, click Drill.
     The drill-down functionality is applied to the report and users can drill down from the time period.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
